Dear Patient

If you were to undergo an operation at the Sint Jan Hospital in Brussels, the Anesthesia Department would like to meet you at the pre-operative care consultation at least 8 days before the operation. 

We work with a team of different people. In addition to the anesthetist, you will also meet a nurse and a fellow doctor, who will help us to prepare your file.

For the consultation, we do not follow the convention rates. We ask for a supplement of 9,22 or 13,25 or 14,75 euro.

For the anesthesia consultation, you will be charged 42 euro, part of which will be reimbursed. 

In addition a fee of 175 euro  for dental care and 200 euro for a frenectomie will be charged for which there is no reimbursement.

Should an ECG be necessary, you charged 18.30 euro, part of which will be reimbursed.

Invoicing Anesthesia Consultation at NON convention rates € 42

1. WIGW /VIPO (right to an increased allowance) -patient

a. If you arrive more than 8 days before the operation (€ 42)

i. Reimbursement of € 29.78

ii. You pay € 3 non reimbursable sum + € 9.22 fee supplement 

(total € 12.22 at your expense)

b. If you come less than 8 days before the operation (€ 42)

i. Reimbursement of €25.75 

ii. You pay € 3 non reimbursable sum + € 13.25 fee supplement 

(total of € 16.25 at your expense)

2. Non WIGW/VIPO Patient

a. If you come more than 8 days before the operation (€ 42)

i. Reimbursement of € 20.78

ii. You pay € 12 non reimbursable sum + € 9.22 fee supplement 

(total of € 21.22 at your expense)

b. If you arrive less than 8 days before the operation (€ 42)

i. Reimbursement of 15.25 € 

ii. You pay yourself € 12 non reimbursable sum + € 14.75 fee supplement (total of € 26.75 at your expense

Invoicing Fee supplement for dental care under general anesthesia (non-stomatological procedures) is €175

• This will not be reimbursed

• If you have hospitalization insurance, this will be partly or fully reimbursed depending on your private contract with your insurance agency

Invoicing Fee for an ECG at convention rate € 18.30

• For an ECG no supplements will be added

• WIGW/VIPO patient: you will be reimbursed € 18.30 (nothing at your expense)

Non WIGW/VIPO patient: you will be reimbursed € 15.56 (€ 2.74 at your expense)
